As a University of Chicago graduate with more than 15 years' experience as a professional writer/editor, Jill Elaine Hughes is very much in demand as a freelance writer/editor for corporate and academic clients as well as private individuals.  As a freelance journalist she has contributed articles to the Washington PostChicago Tribune, Chicago Reader, New Art Examiner, Cat Fancy Magazine, the Missouri Review, and numerous small regional publications.  Her many corporate clients (both for-profit and non-profit) include AT&T/Ameritech, International Engineering Consoritum, the American Medical Association (AMA), the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the University of Phoenix, and numerous private individuals.  Her particular areas of expertise include technical, healthcare-related (medical, nursing, and pharmaceutical), and legal writing, along with editing/copyediting across all disciplines.
